Unveiling of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics Logo

The new logo for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games has been revealed, which is inspired by Chinese calligraphy and was drawn by artist Lin Cunzhen in a traditional meets modern style.

The blue palette is a nod to the ice (cold noses and fingers!) with the red and yellow coming from the Chinese flag

Both logos were inspired by chinese characters, the one shown above is from the character for winter 冬, whilst the paralympic one means fly 飞 .

They hope that the ribbons symbolise their rolling hills and ski pistes - which you would hope they have got in Beijing since ski-ing is quite popular at the Winter Olympics!
