In the words of John Travolta, Formula E motor car racing is electrifying!





In a bid to appeal to a younger audience, Formula E has had a rebrand to look more 'relevant'!

Not wanting to be compared with traditional Formula 1, it wants to move away the goal posts and establish itself in its' own right. Instead of spectators seeing the loss of noise and speed as a detrimental thing, they want it to be what differentiate's them from F1.

The logo retains the existing, interlocking “e” symbol, but pairs it with the name Formula E set in a new typeface that was inspired by a typeface found on a travel poster from the 1920s and updated it.

They have also “electrified” the racing series’ original blue to make it “stand out on the track”, and added a rich, dark purple as a second colour, a move away from the traditional 'masculiine' colours of red and black.

The Formula E was originally based down the road from us at Donington Park, but is now just a logistical base due to its proximity to DHL and East Midlands Airport.
